What Happened to our Food? 🍩

If you had eaten these types of foods 60 years ago, the adverse health effects wouldn’t have been as severe as they are today.

What has changed?
Why is the standard American diet so metabolically devastating?

Production and manufacturing of food has shifted to prioritize annual yield and profits. This paved the way for genetically engineered foods and the chemical spraying of crops.

Subsidization of corn, wheat, soy, and sugar.

Allowing the government to hide the inflationary effects of money manipulation and the decoupling of the dollar from the gold standard (1971).

This ushered in an era of cheap, nutrient-deficient foods, while concealing the rising costs of meat and eggs. 

The addition of toxins and inflammatory ingredients to the food supply has made food-like products hyper palatable, addicting, and increased their shelf-life.

Here’s a brief (and simplified) rundown of some hidden poisons found in the standard American diet:

1. Glyphosate:
Herbicide sprayed on all conventionally grown crops. Highly toxic.

2. Folic Acid:
Masks B12 deficiencies and (possible) cancer link. The “fortified” part of enriched wheat.

3. Seed Oils:
Industrial lubricant, highly inflammatory, not meant for human consumption. Garbage.

4. Soy:
Hormone disruptor and gut irritant.

5. High Fructose Corn Syrup:
Metabolized inefficiently. Causing weight gain, liver damage, and insulin resistance

6. Food coloring:
Toxicity from red, blue, and yellow dye causing behavioral issues plus microbiome disruption.

7. Preservatives:
BHA, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, etc. Toxic, metabolically damaging, numerous adverse health effects.

To navigate this toxic food landscape, you must seize control of your health and take full ownership of what is going into your mouth.
